The West Windsor-Plainsboro High North and Princeton Day School girls basketball teams are heading to the Mercer County Tournament semifinals.
The Knights advanced with a 62-47 win over Lawrence on Wednesday and will take on second-seeded Trenton Catholic today at 3 p.m. at Mercer County Community College. Jacquie Klotz had 35 points to pace the offense for the Knights.
PDS went on the road and knocked off Hopewell Valley, 60-44, in its quarterfinal. Janie Smukler had 24 points and Tiffany Patterson added 20 for the Panthers, who will face top-seeded Trenton today at 6 p.m. at MCCC.
Trenton had advanced with a 49-32 win over WW-P South. Gabi Hahn had 13 points and Sharell Lowe added 11 in the loss for the Pirates. Princeton defeated Ewing, 42-37, in a consolation game on Wednesday. Molly Barber led the Little Tigers with 21 points.
