PRINCETON AREA: Police blotter

Princeton Township
   Jesse M. Reuter, 26, of Crosswicks, was charged with failure to appear in court. At 9:56 p.m. on Feb. 15, while conducting a motor vehicle stop at Mercer Road, police discovered Mr. Reuter had a $250 warrant out of Howell Township. He was arrested and later released after posting the $250 bail.
Princeton Borough
   Jeffrey Burdo, 24, of Huntingdon, Pa., and Jesse Friedman, 24, of Philadelphia, were charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams. At 1:19 a.m. on Feb. 14, police stopped their vehicle for speeding on Bayard Lane. Police found both individuals possessed marijuana. Mr. Friedman was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. They were arrested and later released, pending court.

   Edwin Echevarria-Gomez, 31, of Princeton, was charged with simple assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. At 5:08 p.m. on Feb. 10, police responded to Mr. Gomez’s residence on Lytle Street on a 911 hang-up. Upon arrival, they found Mr. Gomez had assaulted another man. He was later released, pending court.

   Harold Jackson Jr., 33, of Eatontown, was charged with driving while intoxicated, being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of marijuana under 50 grams. At 12:34 p.m. on Wednesday, police stopped Mr. Jackson for speeding on Elm Road. They found less than 50 grams on him. He was arrested and later released, pending court.
Montgomery
   Jacob B. Muck, 21, of Hillsborough, was charged with careless driving and failure to wear a seatbelt. At 11:42 a.m. on Monday, police responded to a single-car accident with an injury on Dutchtown Zion Road, west of Pin Oak Road. Upon arrival, police located a heavily damaged car against a tree on the front lawn of a residence. The driver, Mr. Muck, complained of severe leg pain and was unable to exit the vehicle. He was extricated from his car and taken to Robert Wood Johnson hospital for treatment.

   Merna Goldberg, 74, of Princeton, was charged with failure to keep right and driving an uninsured vehicle. At 2 p.m. on Friday, police responded to a crash on Route 206. At the site, police found Ms. Goldberg’s vehicle in the woods along the elevated northbound shoulder. The vehicle had sustained extensive front end damage from impacting the trees. Ms. Goldberg complained of pain in her back and did not know how the crash occurred. A witness travelling behind her told police he observed the vehicle drift into the northbound lane for no apparent reason and leave the roadway. Ms. Goldberg was taken to the hospital for treatment. Her vehicle was towed from the scene.
West Windsor
   Andrew Nash Barajkiewicz, 22, of Lawrenceville, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance. At 12:47 a.m. on Wednesday, police stopped Mr. Barajkiewicz’s vehicle traveling south on Route 1 near Quakerbridge Road for a motor vehicle violation. During the search, police located marijuana and materials used to weigh, package and distribute marijuana. He was arrested and later released, pending court.

   Clarence Griffin, 29, of Trenton, was charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving. At 7:49 p.m. on Wednesday, while on routine patrol, police came upon a disabled vehicle with its hazard lights on at Old Trenton Road. The driver, Mr. Griffin, was trying to get out of the vehicle as police approached. Police observed Mr. Griffin appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. Police arrested him after determining from field sobriety tests that he was intoxicated. He was later released, pending court.
