Students presenting ‘Murder at Coppersmith Inn’
WEST WINDSOR – The seventh and eighth grade students at Thomas Grover Middle School are presenting "Murder at Coppersmith Inn," on Friday, March 4, and Saturday, March 5, at 7:30 p.m.
This mystery/comedy is the story of three high school girls who decide to audition for a failing acting company that includes an interesting cast of characters. They meet Louella DuPage, the fading star, Rocky Cheevers, who dreams of going to the Olympics, and Birdie Mayhew, who is convinced that the inn couldn’t run without her.
What happens next can only be described as a hilarious theatrical travesty: cues are missed; lines are delivered at the wrong times to the wrong characters; sound effects cover up the actors’ dialogue; it rains at the wrong time on the wrong people; and as everything else is going wrong, the wrong person is murdered.
Tickets are available at the door for $8. This show is fun for the whole family.
