By Somerset County Board of Freeholders
Be among the first to know what’s happening in your county. Somerset County’s free e-newsletter from the Board of Freeholders is a convenient way to keep abreast of county issues, programs and events. The county also offers free email alerts and is on Facebook and Twitter.
Visit www.co.somerset.nj.us/newsletter to view back issues of the e-newsletter and to receive future editions. The next two issues will be coming to subscribers’ inboxes on March 10 and 24.
“The e-newsletter has become a key vehicle for communication with our residents,” Freeholder Director Robert Zaborowski said. “It presents county information in a simple digest format that is perfect for today’s busy schedules.” All subscribers’ emails are kept confidential.
The electronic publication, launched in January 2009, has saved the county about $50,000 a year over the production and postage cost of printed newsletters.
You also can sign up to receive free email updates on more than 90 items on the county Web site – from recycling schedules to meeting agendas and minutes to road closings and emergency alerts – by going to www.co.somerset.nj.us/subscribe.html Some items also have a wireless-text option.
