Lambertville
Lambertville police reported:
— Suzanne Kelly, 34, of Doylestown, Pa., was taken into custody for driving under the influence Feb. 26. Sgt. Robert Brown stopped Ms. Kelly on Coryell Street at 12:10 a.m. after she was allegedly observed driving erratically. She was charged with DUI, careless driving and failure to keep right. She was later released with a pending court date.
— Daniel Plaza, 18, of Trenton, was charged with assault after an altercation on a school bus, which was headed to school at 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 23. Officer Kenneth Housman was called to the area of Routes 165 and 518 after receiving a report of a fight taking place on a school bus for the ESC School in West Amwell. It was determined that Ms. Plaza had struck a juvenile student multiple times after an argument had escalated. He was charged with simple assault and later released with a court date. The victim was evaluated for injuries and returned to school.
— James Varn, 37, of Lambertville, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia Feb. 25. He was reportedly found to be in possession of a glass pipe and rolling papers after Sgt. Brown was called to his residence for an unrelated incident. Mr. Varn was charged with two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and later released with a pending court date.
— Audria Nunnally, 56, of Solebury, Pa., was taken into custody on outstanding warrants as a result of a traffic stop Feb. 27. Officer Michael Gramlich stopped Ms. Nunnally on Route 202 at 5:25 p.m. after her vehicle was found to be unregistered and to have a loud exhaust. A check found that she did not have a valid driver’s license and had three warrants for her arrest. The warrants were issued by Raritan Township for failure to appear on traffic offenses and New Milford for bad check complaints. She was charged with being unlicensed and operating an unregistered vehicle. She was later released after posting $1,300 bail.
— Two vendors at the Peoples Store reported thefts of merchandise sometime between Feb. 9 and 20. Reported stolen were two bronze statues valued at $2,890 and two rings valued at $600. The thefts are being investigated by Sfc. Michael O’Rourke and Officer Vincent Albani.
— Nicholas Shott, 31, of West Amwell, was taken into custody for driving under the influence Feb. 20. Officer Gramlich stopped Ms. Shott at 3:10 a.m. after he was allegedly seen driving on Bridge Street with a light out on his vehicle. Ms. Shott was charged with DUI, reckless driving, maintenance of lamps and failure to exhibit registration. He was later released with a pending court date.
— Two Trenton residents were taken into custody on active warrants as a result of motor vehicle stop Feb. 18. Sgt. Brown stopped a vehicle operated by Nibree Laster, 20, on South Union Street at 3:15 a.m. after she failed to dim her high beams. Ms. Laster, who failed to produce a valid driver’s license, was found to have two active warrants issued by Trenton with total bail set at $3,750. The passenger, Briyon Ellerbe, 20, was also found to have an active criminal warrant for his arrest as issued by Trenton with bail set at $3,500. Both were turned over to officers from the Trenton Police Department in default of bail. Ms. Laster also was charged with failure to exhibit a driver’s license and failure to dim high beams.
