Program will show how to raise poultry

Rick’s Saddle Shop in the Cream Ridge section of Upper Freehold will begin providing poultry-raising resources to the community through its Chick Days program.

Beginning March 1 and continuing to April 30, experts will be available to offer advice and guidance on how to raise chickens from freshly hatched chicks through laying, including details on proper nutrition to provide the best eggs.

Rick’s Saddle Shop will also provide cost savings on certain feed from Purina throughout Chick Days. Those interested in ordering their hatchlings in advance should call 609-758-7267. Hatchlings will be available throughout the duration of Chick Days, but it is recommended to call ahead to reserve orders.
