NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J.: Saint Peter’s University Hospital has announced its spring schedule of parent education classes, from basic baby care to breastfeeding.
“We can help expectant couples prepare for one or more babies,’’ said Donna Makris, RN, parent education coordinator at Saint Peter’s University Hospital. “We offer a variety of childbirth preparation classes, including one-day to four-week sessions as well as three-day courses for those expecting multiples. We have classes to meet all families’ needs – new fathers, proud grandparents, and even big brothers and sisters.’’
“The help doesn’t end there,’’ Makris added. “After a baby’s birth, moms can join our Breastfeeding Support Group, or register for our Mom’s Support group, called “Life Will Never be the Same,’’ or our Post Partum Yoga Class or Infant Massage Class.’’
All classes are held at Saint Peter’s University Hospital, 254 Easton Ave., New Brunswick, and each is taught by a certified instructor. Registration must be made through the Parent Education Department, 732-745-8579.
