Princeton police are investigating a daylight assault and attempted robbery of a woman on Guyot Avenue.
A 24-year-old woman was approached from behind by a man who spoke with an accent about 8 a.m. on Monday morning, according to police.
The assailant forced the victim to walk down the pathway that runs between Guyot Avenue and Jefferson Road and demanded her wallet and purse. When the victim attempted to flee, the assailant grabbed her arm and cut her cheek with a sharp object, police said. He then fled on foot in an unknown direction, said police.
The man is described as Hispanic with dark hair, dark brown eyes, medium skin tone with a medium build and approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall.
