LAMBERTVILLE: Flood advisory issued

   Mayor David M. Del Vecchio and Dave Burd, coordinator of Emergency Management, have issued the following statement.
   ”The City of Lambertville Office of Emergency Management has been monitoring Sunday’s rainstorm and the Delaware River forecasts for the City of Lambertville.
   ”Based on a National Weather Service (NWS) projection at 3:40 a.m. today (March 7), the expected crest of the river in Lambertville is 11.5 feet, for early Tuesday morning (March 8). This is 1.5 feet below our flood stage.
   ” The actual river elevation and timing can change as more information becomes available. Please monitor the river and the media for updates. Please do not call 9-1-1 for any non-emergency concerns and questions.
   ”We are giving this advance notice to allow you to move valuables to higher levels if you are in a flood-prone area and so desire. Please remember this is only an advisory notice based upon projections, which, have moved up and down 1.6 feet over the past two days.
   ”We are also inviting you, friends and neighbors to sign up for e-mail notification at www.Lambertvillenj.org and clicking on the ‘E-mail Notices’ button on the right side of the upper toolbar.”
