In the March 1 issue of The Packet, sports editor Bob Nuse devoted three columns to the Princeton men’s basketball team and its previous weekend wins. Not only wasn’t there a score for the women’s team which is one game better than the men but no mention whatsoever about their better standing in the women’s Ivy League.
As someone who played basketball at Princeton and even have seen a record 860 Princeton games, I was honored to have endowed the Women’s Basketball Award some 24 years ago.
As a player and as an alumnus I am shocked that The Packet would permit the fine article about the men’s team and not a word about the outstanding women’s record. With luck both of them could win the Ivy League title and go to the NCAA post-season together the women for the second consecutive time.
