Hamilton resident Kelly Rouba named to Mercer County Disabilities Advisory Council

Hamilton resident, Kelly Rouba, was sworn in as a member of the Mercer County Disabilities Advisory Council on March 1, 2011. Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes conducted the swearing in ceremony. Rouba, who has was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis at the age of 2, is a national spokesperson for the Arthritis National Research Foundation and author of Juvenile Arthritis: The Ultimate Teen Guide.
The Disabilities Advisory Council (DAC) provides a forum on issues pertaining to disabilities and the members act as advocates for the consumer to help improve the quality of services made available.
Ms. Rouba works full-time as a Communications & Emergency Management Specialist for the State of New Jersey and is also a DAE/Special Needs Specialist with the Dept. of Homeland Security/FEMA Region II. Outside of work, she is a member of the Statewide Independent Living Council and Hamilton Township’s Special Needs Commission. She also serves on the Boards of the Arthritis National Research Foundation and e-Quality Productions. She previously served on the Boards of Enable Inc. and Project Freedom.
