J. Anthony Manger elected Chair of the NJ Commission on Accreditation for Home Care (CAHC)
NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ – J. Anthony Manger has been elected Chair of the Board of Trustees of the NJ Commission on Accreditation for Home Care (CAHC). CAHC, a New Providence-based home care watchdog, monitors agencies throughout New Jersey to ensure consumers receive services that meet established guidelines and industry practices.
Manger is a lawyer with Norris McLaughlin & Marcus, where he is chair of the firm’s Healthcare Practice Group. His volunteer service in the non-profit community includes the Montgomery Academy, a school for students with learning and other disabilities, where he has been President of the Board since 2001. He also held executive positions on the Board of the New Jersey Ballet Company.
“I am honored to have been chosen to lead CAHC’s Board of Trustees. CAHC has been serving the home health industry as well as consumers of healthcare with distinction for 25 years. I look forward to assisting CAHC as it broadens its extraordinary services to related fields and in the education of healthcare providers and consumers,” says Manger.
The non-profit CAHC was founded in 1986 to protect home care consumers by holding agencies accountable for meeting organizational, personnel and clinical standards. Accreditation is awarded only to those agencies that demonstrate consistent compliance with those standards.
“Accreditation decisions are the Board’s responsibility and Tony’s leadership will ensure it maintains the highest standards in its decision-making process,” says Barbara Cording, CAHC executive director. “We want consumers to know that they can consider CAHC accreditation to be a ‘seal of approval’, earned only by those agencies that share our commitment to quality and safety.”
Consumers can find a complete list of CAHC-accredited agencies and a resource center with comprehensive information on how to choose a home care agency at the CAHC website: www.cahcnj.org .
