Peddie swimmers compete in big meets

Swimmers from Peddie Aquatics Association competed in two USA Swimming meets recently, winning 10 events and finishing in the top three in 35 events.
Swimmers over 8 years old competed at the Jersey Wahoos Sweetheart Meet at the Gloucester Institute of Technology. In the 13-14 age group, M.J. Cummings (Millstone) won both the 100 free (51.15) and the 100 breast (1:07.63) and placed second in the 200 free (1:53.12). Rabia Syed (West Windsor) won the 100 fly (1:03.22) and took second in the 50 free (26.56) and fourth in the 500 free (5:26.20). Aldair Rozo (East Windsor) came in second in the 100 free (57.43) and Roman Horoszewski (West Windsor) finished third in the 50 free (25.58).
Competing in the 11-12 age group, Alexander Petruso (Cranbury) won the 100 breast (1:18.95) and placed third in the 50 breast (36.91). R.J. Dreyfuss (Monroe) finished second in the 200 IM (2:27.01).
In the 9-10 age group, Noah Houskeeper (North Brunswick) won four events – the 100 fly (1:08.01), 500 free (6:17.47), 50 fly (31.28), and 200 free (2:21.84).
Swimmers age 8-and-under competed in the Treasure Chest Mini Meet at Fort Dix. In the 8-year-old age group, Kaitlyn Cawley (Monroe) won the 25 breast (20.59) and finished third in the free (16.18). Zoe Stokes (Cranbury) placed second in the 50 free (34.99) and third in the 25 fly (19.07). Additional third place finishes were earned by Micaela Bernard (Hightstown) in the 25 back (20.79), Kaila Bernsteil (Millstone) in the 50 free (37.53), and Veronique DiBlasio (Princeton) in the 50 back (46.14).
In the 7-year-old events, Johnathan Wu (Cranbury) placed second in the 50 back (53.57) and third in the 50 breast (1:03.75). Layne Peterson (Hightstown) finished second in the 50 free (42.64) and Madison Wiston (West Windsor) took second in the 25 breast (25.93). Ashley Agogliati (West Windsor) placed third in the 25 fly (23.56) and Jack Martinek (Millstone) finished third in the 25 back (25.54).
Competing among 6-year-olds, Sarah Atilgan (West Windsor) won the 50 free (45.82). Scott Nahoum (West Windsor) finished third in both the 25 free (22.04) and the 25 back (25.34), and Nick DiNatale (Monroe) finished third in the 25 breast (24.11).
In the 5-and-under age group, Katie Kudela (Plainsboro) placed second in the 25 free (35.55) and the 25 back (38.37).
