Meditation Circle: Stress and a fast-paced life see many of us seeking alternative ways of escape. Slow down and join Reference Librarian Ann Kerr and reduce stress using meditation. Memoir Writing Workshop for Seniors: A memoir is a personal story and anyone can write one. Get into Step: Get into Step combines the benefits of aerobic exercise with the rhythm and fun of dancing. Get moving with certified fitness trainer Maria Okros. Feminist pioneer: Former journalist Mary Walton, author of "A Woman’s Crusade: Alice Paul and the Battle for the Ballot," will speak about Alice Paul, a New Jersey Quaker who was the leader of the militant wing of the suffrage movement from 1913 to 1920. The book’s release in August, 2010, marked the 90th anniversary of the 19th Amendment giving women the vote. Copies of the book will be available for sale after the program for the author to sign. This free program is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Lawrence Library and the League of Women Voters of Lawrence Township in recognition of Women’s history month. ‘Bali Ha’i! Bali Ha’i’!: The Lawrence High School Theater Company will present "South Pacific" by Rodgers and Hammerstein on March 17, 18 and 19 at 7 p.m. Tickets prices are $5 for students, $6 for senior citizens and $8 for adults and may be picked up in the high school main office at 2525 Princeton Pike. 2011 Community Conversation: The Lawrence Township Community Foundation will host its 2011 Community Conversation at The Lawrenceville School from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Residents of Lawrence Township are invited to attend, along with members of non-profit organizations serving the township, those who work in town and township business owners. The organization’s charter tasks LTCF with fostering supportive community and private sector relationships to service the interests and needs of the residents of our town and to serve as a catalyst to support and enhance community improvement and development programs in Lawrence Township. LTCF Community Conversations create a community forum where residents are invited to discuss living in Lawrence Township and what steps can be taken to make our township better. The event will be facilitated by board member Sue Kirkland, who is a Principal/Strategic Partnerships with the American Cancer Society and Lawrence resident. Topics will include "A Healthy and Safe Lawrence," "Being a Good Neighbor," "Engaging our Youth," "Getting Around Lawrence," "Promoting Lawrence Township," "Golden Years," and "Sustainability in Lawrence."
