SOLEBURY: Route 32 section is closing

SOLEBURY — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that Route 32 (River Road) will be closed and detoured tonight (March 14) between Old Mill Lane and Phillips Mill Road in Solebury Township, Bucks County, due to flood damage to a retaining wall.
Route 32 will be closed indefinitely until repairs can be made.
During the closure, Route 32 through traffic will be detoured over Phillips Mill Road, Sugan Road and Route 263 (Upper York Road). Local access will be maintained up to the closure point. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.
”Today we received reports of the damaged retaining wall from Solebury Township,” Assistant District Executive for Design Charles Davies said. “When our crews arrived to inspect the damage they discovered a 6-foot-by-7-foot hole in the wall. We are looking to get repairs under way as soon as possible.”
