Lambertville
In the town of Lambertville, I get the impression that if you do something wrong, your punishment is dependent on who you are and who you know.
I walk along the sidewalk and see cars parked alongside meters, with the time allotted expired. Many times there are no tickets on these cars. If these cars were ticketed, maybe residents wouldn’t have to pay extra for their garbage.
I know of someone who drives drunk, yet this person rarely is ticketed by police. Sometimes this person is followed home from where he/she drinks by the police, and he/she gets his/her license suspended for a short time and drive again and the pattern repeats over and over.
It seems some people do not face the same repercussions as everyone else, and it’s dependent on who you are and who you know.
Residents of Lambertville are supposed to shovel their sidewalks in a certain window of time following a snowstorm, or clean up after their dogs while out walking them, yet often nothing is done to certain individuals, which is not fair to the residents who follow the law and do what is expected of them.
I thought the law applied to everyone, not just those unlucky enough not to know someone in authority.
