Lambertville police reported:
— Leah Bye, 26, of Newtown, Pa., was taken into custody for possession of CDS as a result of a motor vehicle stop on March 8. Sgt. Robert Brown stopped Ms. Bye at 12:05 a.m. after she failed to stop for a red light on Bridge Street.
Subsequent to the stop, Ms. Bye allegedly was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and a glass pipe. She was charged with possession of CDS under 50 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of CDS in a vehicle and failure to observe a traffic signal.
She was later released with a pending court date.
— Gregory Zitter, 29, of Lambertville, was taken into custody on an active warrant March 8 by Officer Anthony Memolo after Mr. Zitter was seen on Church Street.
Mr. Zitter was known to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
The warrant was issued by Camden for failure to appear in court. He was later released on his own recognizance with a pending court date.
West Amwell Township police reported:
— On March 9 at 6:35 p.m., police took a report of criminal mischief at the Quick Chek store on Route 31. Unknown subject(s) damaged a mirror in the men’s room. The mirror was valued at approximately $100. Patrolman Timothy Vanselous took the report.
— On March 11 at 8:50 a.m., police went to the ESC School on Route 179 to investigate a report about a faculty member who was assaulted by a student.
A 13-year-old Trenton boy was taken into custody by Patrolman Anthony Goccia. He was processed and charged with aggravated assault. He was later released to a guardian.
The faculty member received only minor injuries.
— On March 15 at 11:50 a.m., police began an investigation into a theft that occurred at a Verizon Inc. cellular tower located on Route 31 in the area of the Amwell Valley Diner and Restaurant.
Subject(s) entered a fenced-in area and stole several hundred dollars’ worth of copper grounding wire. The theft occurred between Jan. 31 and March 15. Patrolman Vanselous took the initial report.
