Tanisha Wimbush, 22, of Trenton, was arrested on a warrant and charged with several motor vehicle violations. At 11:21 p.m. on March 8, police stopped Ms. Wimbush for a motor vehicle violation on Route 206 when they discovered she had an active warrant for $120 out of Trenton. She was arrested and later released, pending court, after posting the $120 bail.
Devin Malabunga, 33, of Plainsboro, was charged with a warrant arrest. At 10:02 p.m. on March 7, police stopped Mr. Malabunga for a motor vehicle violation on South Harrison Street when they discovered he had two active warrants, one for $500 out of Jamesburg and another $200 out of Woodbridge. He was arrested and later released, pending court, after posting $700 bail.
John B. Swanson, 22, of Vienna, Va., was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated in a school zone, driving without insurance, speeding and failing to maintain a lane. At 2:22 a.m. on Saturday, police stopped Mr. Swanson for speeding on Route 206, when they detected the odor of alcohol on his breath. He was arrested after a field sobriety test determined he was intoxicated. He was later released, pending court.
Plainsboro
Jarrod Parslow, 23, of Plainsboro, was charged with criminal mischief and defiant trespassing. At 10:48 a.m. on March 10, Fox Run maintenance personnel discovered Mr. Parslow inside his former Fox Run Drive residence by forcing open the front door, causing damage to the frame. The estimated value of the damage is $100. He was arrested and later released, pending court.
Joseph W. O’Connell, 29, of Philadelphia, was charged with possession of a glass crack pipe, and Cheryl Roney, 22, of West Chester, Pennsylvania, was charged with possession of heroin, crack/cocaine, prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia. At 12:48 a.m. on Sunday, police observed a vehicle stopped in the middle of Quail Ridge Drive, and the driver, Ms. Roney, was observed outside of the vehicle, appearing disoriented. Police stopped her after she began to drive away. Police arrested Mr. O’Connell and Ms. Roney after further investigation revealed they allegedly possessed narcotics and paraphernalia. Mr. O’Connell was later released on his own recognizance. Ms. Roney is being held at MCACC on $10,000 bail.
Police are investigating a burglary that occurred between 8:30 p.m. on March 10 and 11:57 a.m. on March 11. At 11:58 a.m. on March 11, a UPS driver reporter a possible burglary to a Stults Drive residence, after observing the front door to be broken open. Upon police arrival, a search was conducted of the residence and perimeter. No individuals were located, but police said the home appeared to be burglarized.
Police are investigating a theft that occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Monday at West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North. A student reported her handbag was stolen from a second-floor girl’s bathroom. The bag was valued at $150 and contained a $150 iPod and $40 makeup kit.
Police are investigating three separate incidents of theft and criminal mischief at the Meadows at Middlesex Golf Course at Hunters Glen Drive. At 7:20 a.m. on Sunday, March 13, Hunters Glen management reported that someone removed four fire extinguishers from the apartment complex and left them on the golf course. The estimated value of the extinguishers is $440. At 1 p.m. on March 9, maintenance personnel found three stolen partially emptied fire extinguishers on the fairway of the course. Investigation determined they belonged to the Hunters Glen apartments. The estimated value of the extinguishers is about $370. Between 3 p.m. on March 9 and 7:30 a.m. on March 10, unknown persons threw rocks through the starter shack window. The damage is estimated at $300.
West Windsor
Sergey I. Azarov, 33, of Trenton, was charged with speeding and operating an uninsured vehicle. At 12:05 p.m. on March 3, police stopped a vehicle for speeding on Wallace Road. The driver, Mr. Azarov, presented two documents to police as proof of liability insurance, but police determined they were invalid after contacting the listed carrier. Mr. Azarov was later charged with presenting a fake insurance card after police determined they were fictitiously produced. A criminal warrant was later issued for the van’s owner, Amar S. Shahzad, 38, of West Windsor, who was responsible for the insurance. He was arrested on March 6 and taken to the Mercer County Detention Center on $10,000 bail.
Police are investigating a shoplifting attempt at Babies R Us in the Nassau Park Shopping Center. At 12 p.m. on March 8, police responded to a report of shoplifting from the store manager, who reported seeing a black man in his 20s and a black female in her 20s speaking at the store’s registry desk. After filling a shopping cart with merchandise, the two people ran out the front entrance with the cart and got into a blue vehicle, driven by another black female. They left behind the cart and all the merchandise, valued at over $1,000.
Ryan J. Billek, 18, of West Windsor, was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of an alcoholic beverage under the legal age. Robert J. Dunne, 18, of West Windsor, was charged with possession of an alcoholic beverage under the legal age and consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle. At 2:29 a.m. on Saturday, police stopped their vehicle on Old Trenton Road for a maintenance of lamps violation. While speaking with the occupants, police observed beer cans within the passenger compartment. A subsequent search found a case of beer, under 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. They were both arrested and later released, pending court.
Tawanda I. Hall, 30, of Trenton, and Latoya Snell, 28, of Trenton, were charged with shoplifting. At 3:36 p.m. on Sunday, police responded to a report of shoplifting at Lowe’s store. Upon arrival, they met with a store detective who said he observed Ms. Hall and Ms. Snell attempting to conceal vacuum cleaner bags in their purses and exit without paying. They were both arrested. Ms. Snell was released, pending court. Ms. Hall was found to have an active warrant out of Bucks County, Pennsylvania., and was turned over to the Bucks County sheriff.
Klever F. Gonzalez, 30, of Trenton, was charged with driving while intoxicated. At 8:32 p.m. on Sunday, police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Old Trenton Road when they determined Mr. Gonzalez was intoxicated. He was arrested and given breath tests. He was found to have an active warrant out of Hamilton Township. He was later released after posting $550 bail.
