Neil N. Jasey, Jr., M.D. (http://www.kessler-rehab.com/patient-center/staff/DoctorDetails.aspx?ID=62) has been appointed Acting Director for Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation (www.kessler-rehab.com). In this role, Dr. Jasey will direct the comprehensive brain injury rehabilitation program at Kessler’s three campuses in West Orange, Saddle Brook, and Chester, and will work closely with the program teams on clinical, research, advocacy and educational initiatives, including overseeing the hospital’s TBI Fellowship program.
Dr. Jasey also serves as Medical Director of the Northern New Jersey Traumatic Brain Injury Model System (NNJTBIS), one of one of only 14 federally-designated model systems in the nation for the research and treatment of individuals with brain injury.

Dr. Jasey, who is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPMR) and the CNS Rehabilitation Council of the AAPMR. A graduate of Princeton University, Dr. Jasey received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-New Jersey Medical School and completed a fellowship in traumatic brain injury at Kessler Institute. He has presented at the Association of Academic Physiatrists, the American College of Sports Medicine and other nation and local conferences. In addition, he has published studies and articles in medical journals, such as the Journal of Head Trauma and Rehabilitation, and in textbooks, including Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation: Principles and Practice.
