In the world of "Curtains," it’s 1959, and on the stage of the Colonial Theater in Boston, the new musical "Robbin’ Hood of the Old West" is reaching its conclusion. The egregiously untalented leading lady, Jessica Cranshaw, is a triple threat: she can’t sing, act or dance. To the relief of everyone, she is murdered during her opening night curtain call. The entire company comes under suspicion, and Lt. Frank Cioffi of the Boston Police Department is called in to solve the homicide. Throughout the investigation, secrets are surfacing, production numbers in "Robbin’ Hood" are rewritten, rehearsed and rewritten again, and the body count is rising. Can Lt. Cioffi solve the case, save the show, and get the girl before the curtain rises without getting killed himself?
This production stars Bordentown Regional High School students of all four grade levels, including a student orchestra conducted by Emily Eynon. The show will be directed by Stacie Morano. Vocals are under the direction of Scottie La Marra, with choreography by Beth Boccanfuso.
Bordentown Regional High School’s most recent musical, "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," was awarded two Greater Philadelphia Area Cappie Awards in 2010, and was nominated for an additional four awards.
