MANVILLE: Bowling Day to aid digital sign campaign

The Manville Education Foundation is planning a Community Bowling Day event to give families a chance to have some fun together during the Manville School District Easter recess.
The event will be held at Ten Pins Lanes in Manville from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19.
Deb Knitowski of the MEF said that the organization wanted to have a family event to bring the community together.
”We are doing the bowling as a way to give the kids something to do during their Easter break and for their family and friends to have some fun doing something that they like to do. We (MEF) are trying to have more community events so that we can bring the young and old together. This was something that we thought would be a great event to do,” she said.
All of the proceeds will help to support the Manville Digital Sign campaign so the event will work to bring the community together and help to support the efforts for a new school sign to be placed at Manville High School.
Tickets for the Community Bowling Day event are limited and on a first-come, first-serve basis. The cost is $15 per person which includes three hours of bowling, shoe rental, pizza and beverages. Although this is a community event, children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
Tickets can be ordered through the Manville school offices by sending in the reservation form. Forms can be downloaded at www.manvillesd.org.
