Stephen Houston, 31, of Florence, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and charged with criminal mischief on March 15. Mr. Houston was seen by a witness causing damage to a vehicle parked on West Third Street, police said. Investigation revealed that Mr. Houston had damaged four other vehicles parked on the street, police said. Police located Mr. Houston and took him into custody where he was processed and then transported to Burlington County Jail in default of $10,178 bail.
Gregory Meredith, 39, of Belford, was charged with driving under the influence on around 3 a.m. on March 18. Police observed a suspicious vehicle in the area of John Galt Way and conducted a stop. Investigation revealed that Mr. Meredith had an odor of alcohol coming from his breath. Police had Mr. Meredith perform on-scene tests and he was placed under arrest after he was found to be over the legal limit to operated a vehicle. Mr. Meredith was processed and released pending a future court date.
Martin Davis, 28, of Trenton, was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Trenton and another from Ewing and Tyler Green, 19, of Florence was arrested on two outstanding warrants from Trenton on March 18. Police were dispatched to the area of Second Avenue and Main Street in Roebling on the report of a large fight. Investigation revealed that the two accused had active warrants for their arrest. Both were taken into custody and processed. Mr. Davis was released after posting $890 bail and Mr. Green was released pending a future court date.
Zachary Tucker, 30, of Florence, was charged with one warrant out of the Burlington County Sheriff’s Department and one new complaint for possession of an unlawful weapon on March 19. Police observed Mr. Tucker walking on West Second Street near Iron Street. A warrant check on Mr. Tucker released that he had an outstanding warrant from the Burlington County Sheriff’s Department. While officers were taking Mr. Tucker into custody they discovered a large folding knife in his waistband. Mr. Tucker was processed and transported to Burlington County Jail in default of $21,392.80 bail.
Mansfield Township
Rogelio Lewis, 27, of Ewing, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, speeding and improper maintenance of lamps on March 20. Police conducted a stop on Route 130 in the area of Hornberger Avenue after Mr. Lewis was observed traveling at 70 mph in a 50 mph zone. After determining that Mr. Lewis has consumed some amount of alcoholic beverages before driving police requested that he submit to a series of field sobriety tests. Mr. Lewis complied but failed to perform the tests satisfactorily. Mr. Lewis was processed and released to the custody of a friend.
