Philip Ugolini, 61, and Patrick Ugolini, 19, both of Lincroft, were charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams. At 8:45 p.m. on Monday, police stopped their vehicle on Nassau Street for having an expired registration, when they found the two men were in possession of marijuana. They were arrested and later released, pending court.
Ashley Klepach, 22, of West Windsor, was charged with driving while intoxicated. At 2:16 a.m. on Saturday, police stopped Ms. Klepach for driving on a sidewalk on Witherspoon Street, when they determined that she was intoxicated. She was arrested and later released, pending court.

ing a motor vehicle stop on Alexander Street, police found that Ms. Argueta had an active warrant out of Trenton for $243. She was arrested and later released, after a friend posted her bail.
Robert Parker, 56, of Trenton, was charged with shoplifting. At 2:57 p.m. on Monday, an employee of Jordan’s Cards and Gifts in the Princeton Shopping Center observed Mr. Parker attempting to exit the store with an item he had not paid for. When confronted, Mr. Parker returned the item and quickly left the area. The employee contacted police, who located Mr. Parker walking away from the center towards Grover Park. Police arrested him after they found he had stolen 14 candles from the store, valued at $281.81. Police also found Mr. Parker was wanted in Burlington County and had 13 criminal warrants for his arrest out of various agencies. He was committed to the Burlington County Detention Facility. Bail was set at $2,500 bail for the shoplifting charge.

David F. Shirley, 18, of Tinton Falls, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance under 50 grams, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a vehicle. At 8:57 p.m. on Tuesday, police observed a vehicle pulled off to the side of the road at Bunn Drive at Herrontown Road, and four individuals standing outside. Police detected the odor of marijuana smoke and raw marijuana inside the vehicle. He was arrested and later released, pending court.

Plainfield, was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while suspended, reckless driving, impeding traffic, failure to keep right and failure to maintain a single lane. At 1:06 a.m. on March 18, while conducting a St. Patrick’s Day DWI patrol, police stopped Mr. Gillette on Scudders Mill Road. He appeared to be going 40 mph in a 50 mph zone, was weaving in and out of the lane, and stopped in the fast lane for a green traffic light at the intersection of Campus Road. While conducting the stop, police determined he was intoxicated and had a suspended license. He was arrested and later released, pending court.
Police are investigating a theft that occurred between 10 p.m. on March 18 and 3 p.m. on Sunday. A resident of Pavilions at Forrestal reported that an unknown person took $180 cash from her purse while it was in her room.
Police are investigating a burglary that occurred between 7 p.m. on March 9 and 12 p.m. on March 10. A resident of Quail Ridge Drive reported that someone entered his vehicle, which was parked in front of his apartment, and took several pieces of ýPage=002 Column=005 OK,0000.00þ
electronic equipment, valued at $2,140. The owner reported no damage to the vehicle.
Police are investigating an incident of criminal mischief. At 8:51 p.m. on March 12, police observed graffiti on a park bench outside of the East Asian Fusion Restaurant on Market Street. The letters “JG” were spray-painted in blue on the back of the bench. The damage is estimated at $100.
Police are investigating an incident of criminal mischief. Between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Monday, a resident of Aspen Drive reported that someone cut the cable wire outside his residence. The damage value is unknown and there are no suspects at this time.
Police are investigating a fraudulent use of a credit card. A resident of Barclay Boulevard reported that between Nov. 1 and Jan. 11, someone made four fraudulent purchases online using his MasterCard. The total amount was valued at $1,556.05. There are no suspects at this time.
Montgomery
Police have charged Michele Linen, 39, of Somerset, with three counts of theft. Ms. Linen was a suspect in two thefts that occurred at the Village Elementary School book fair on Sept. 28 and 30. She had signed in to help as a parent volunteer and worked the cash register, from which she allegedly stole $250 on the first day and $990 on the second day. On March 3, Ms. Linen allegedly signed up to work at the Upper Middle School book fair using the name Michele Serrano. Other parent workers recognized her and notified police. Police went to the school where they said the saw Ms. Linen take several stacks of cash from a register and conceal it in her coat pocket. When she attempted to leave the building, she was arrested. Police found she had taken $825. Police said Ms. Linen later admitted her involvement with the book fair thefts at Village School. She was released, pending court.
Curtis Creech, 50, of Bridgewater, was charged with failure to keep right. At 6:26 a.m. on Sunday, police and paramedics responded to an accident involving a car and truck on Route 601 near Reading Boulevard. Upon arrival, police observed Mr. Creech’s Saturn had sustained ýPage=011 Column=006 OK,0000.00þ
heavy front-end damage and he was trapped in the car. Mr. Creech was freed and flown to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital by state police helicopter where he was treated for internal organ injuries. The truck was driven by Michael Pareja, 37, of Bound Brook. The truck sustained damage to a tire and rim on the driver’s side axle of the trailer. Mr. Pareja was not injured. An investigation at the scene revealed that Mr. Creech was traveling south on Route 601 and while entering a sharp curve, crossed into the northbound lane, causing the impact with the trailer portion of the truck. The Saturn was towed from the scene. The truck was driven from the scene after a tire and rim were changed. A portion of the road was closed for approximately three hours.
Police are investigating a burglary that occurred behind the Tigers Tale Restaurant. Between 8 p.m. on March 17 and noon on March 18, the owner of a 2005 Acura reported that the rear vent window of his parked car was smashed. He reported $400 in cash, a Bank of America debit card, a radar detector and iPod were taken.
John Powers, 17, of Skillman, was charged with careless driving and failure to report an accident. At 10:40 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to a motor vehicle crash in Hobler Park on Great Road. Mr. Powers had lost control of his truck, left the gravel parking area and overturned on the grass. He complained of pain in his hand and was taken for medical treatment. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
James A. Schremp, 25, of Princeton, was charged with simple assault. At 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to a reported assault involving a tire iron on Route 206 near the Hillsborough Township border. Upon arrival, the involved parties had been separated. Police determined that Mr. Schremp and a 54-year-old Hillsborough man were engaged in a road rage incident that began about three miles north on Route 206. Both were allegedly driving erratically and aggressively and shouting. When they reached Montgomery, police say they both exited their vehicles and continued shouting at each other. Mr. Schremp allegedly pulled a steering wheel lock device from his vehicle and swung it at the other driver, missing him. Mr. Schremp was subdued by the other driver and arrested by police. He was released, pending court.
