The First Tee of Raritan Valley is pleased to announce that our 2011 classes and summer camp schedule is now available. Classes are conducted during the Spring, Early Summer, and Fall. Spring Classes begin April 2nd, 2011. Each 6 week class is $75.00 per student with a $25 discount for each additional student. Registration forms are required to be submitted by the start of class. We have also introduced an Early Bird Special of $150 per child when registering for all three sessions and if paid in full before the Spring Semester starts. In addition to instruction, each class member will receive The First Tee t shirt and life skills materials.
Our summer camps will begin Monday, July 11th at Tamarack Golf Course in East Brunswick, NJ. Each week long camp will run Monday – Friday from 9AM – 12PM daily. The cost of camp is $200 per week per student. In addition to instruction, each camper will receive The First Tee t shirt, life skills materials, refreshments, and awards. Our camp curriculum is designed to provide core lessons emphasizing life skills and golf skills.
The First Tee of Raritan Valley mission is to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. The First Tee Raritan Valley is currently expanding and developing programs with several new partners to reach more than 75,000 students throughout six counties of New Jersey by 2015.
We currently offer program opportunities in Middlesex, Somerset, Morris, Union, Hunterdon, and Warren Counties of New Jersey. The First Tee program is seeking youth ages 5-19 to participate in the life skills experience, core values, and increase their golf skills. This chapter is operated by the New Jersey Youth Golf Foundation. The New Jersey Youth Golf Foundation is an official 501 c (3) not for profit and was formed in 2007. The NJYGF annually provides financial assistance, programs, and scholarships.
The chapter currently operates programs at a variety of locations to include: Tara Greens Golf Center in Somerset, Tamarack Golf Course in East Brunswick, Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth, Neshanic Valley Golf Course in Neshanic Station, Fiddlers Elbow Country Club in Bedminster, Picatinny Arsenal in Rockaway, and the HUB Recreation Center in New Brunswick.
