The D&R Canal Watch will celebrate its 20th anniversary 5K Fun Run on April 2. Runners of all ages and abilities will line up at 10 a.m. to race on the course in Titusville.
A special 1-mile walk will be held at 9:30 a.m., with commemorative ribbons for all finishers.
With start and finish in Washington Crossing State Park between Route 29 and the river at Route 546, 5K runners will loop through Titusville village with views of the Delaware River and return on the Delaware & Raritan Canal towpath.
Prizes will be awarded to the overall male and female finishers and top three male and female winners in six age categories.
Participants will be eligible for randomly drawn special prizes. The run is sanctioned by NJ-USA Track & Field.
On race day, register for the run for $20. Register for the 1-mile walk for $15. Register online at www.active.com or download mail-in race forms from www.canalwatch.org or call 989-1931.
T-shirts will be given to all preregistrants. Same-day registrants will receive T-shirts while supplies last.
Free orange juice, water and bagels will be available at the finish line.
The run is the principal fundraising event for the Canal Watch. All proceeds will be used to continue the goal to protect and enhance the D&R Canal State Park.
