POLICE BLOTTER: Week of April 1

   Jessica Allen, 29, of Nettleton Drive is facing seven drug charges after police were called to her residence at 10:04 a.m. on March 29. Police were called when no one answered the door to a welfare appointment, and after maintenance personnel were called to check on the safety of the resident. Officers forced open the door, which was secured with a chain, and found the resident with various drugs and drug paraphernalia. Police said there was cocaine, heroin, marijuana and various pills in the residence. Ms. Allen was arrested and charged with possession of heroin, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of Xanax, possession of Vicodin and possession of narcotics with intent to distribute. She was transported to the Mercer County Detention Center in lieu of $100,000 cash bail.

   Robert Zingone, 58, of Bolton Road in the township was arrested and charged with drunken driving and additional related offenses on March 22. Mr. Zingone’s blue Nissan was stopped by Officer David Berez on Probasco Road after he failed to stop at a stop sign, police said. He was given a field sobriety test and was charged with DWI. In addition, he was charged with DWI in a school zone, failure to stop, careless driving, reckless driving, obstructed view and with having an uninsured vehicle.

   Patrol Officer Matthew Flynn arrested Miriam Minchala-Vasquez, 34, of Maxwell Avenue and charged her with shoplifting after police were called to the T.J. Maxx store in the township on March 23 for a report of an employee theft. She was accused of stealing a total of $105.93 in merchandise. She was released pending a court appearance.

   Lovelle Stewart, 42, of Philadelphia was charged with shoplifting on March 24 at 5:19 p.m. Store personnel called police after observing Mr. Stewart conceal a total of $276.39 worth of tools, police said. In addition Mr. Stewart had outstanding warrants from Delaware County, Pennsylvania, and Ewing. He was transported to the Mercer County Corrections Center pending extradition to Pennsylvania.

   A resident of Kellington Drive reported to police that between noon and 4 p.m. an iPod valued at $175 was stolen from his 2006 Saturn which had been parked unlocked on Kellington Drive.

   Gregory W. Beach, 60, of Princeton was charged with shoplifting on March 25. Police were called to the Wal-Mart store after store personnel said Mr. Beach was seen concealing a radio worth $44.87 and attempting to leave the store. He was charged and released pending a court appearance.

   Gabriel Santiago, 25, of Westerlea Arms apartments was charged with resisting arrest, obstruction of justice and disorderly conduct on March 26 at the WaWa on Hickory Corner Road. Police said Mr. Santiago tried to flee on foot after Officer Ryan Mattek stopped his 1999 Isuzu in the store parking lot for making an illegal turn. After being caught by the officer police said Mr. Santiago refused to comply with orders and was arrested. Police found he had an outstanding warrant from West Windsor Municipal Court. Mr. Santiago was released pending a court appearance.

   Patrick Quinn, 30, of Hamilton was arrested and charged with drunken driving and related offenses at 4:13 a.m. March 26 on Dutch Neck Road. Police said Officer Jason Hart observed a gray Chevrolet driving erratically on Dutch Neck Road at the intersection of Route 130. Officer Hart stopped the car in the Rite Aid parking lot. Mr. Quinn was given a field sobriety test and charged with DWI. He was also charged with reckless driving, careless driving, driving the wrong way on a divided highway, making an improper U-turn, and with a failure to maintain lane. He was released pending a court appearance.

   Carlos Celleri-Tapia, 47, of Avon Drive was charged with shoplifting after police were called to the Wal-Mart store on March 27 at 4:25 p.m. Store personnel told police that Mr. Celleri-Tapi had concealed DVDs worth $131.51 and attemtpted to leave the store. He was charged and released pending a court appearance.

   Police were called to a Dennison Drive residence on a report of a burglary that had taken place sometime between July 6, 2010 and July 14, 2010. The victim told police that she was returning to her residence when she came across an unkown man in her bedroom. She said the man, between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall and wearing baggy jeans shorts, then left the residence. The victim said her jewelry box containing approximately $25,000 worth of jewelry had been stolen. Police are investigating the incident.

   A passenger in a car driven by a juvenile was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs in a motor vehicle at 3:31 p.m. March 26 on Brooktree Road. Robert Kroeckel was charged by Officer Earl Biddy after the gray Nissan was stopped for having a broken taillight. While the officer was speaking with the driver, he observed a rear seat passenger conceal an item in his waist band. Police said the item was a marijuana cigarette. The passenger was arrested and three small bags of marijuana were found on the suspect. He was released pending a court appearance. The driver was released at the scene.

   Police reported that a 16 year old was charged with shoplifting at the Target store on March 28. Police were called after store personnel said the teenage boy attempted to steal items worth $62.47 and leave the store. The boy was transported home by police and released to his mother pending a court appearance.

   Kristen Fuge, 23, of Allentown was charged with possession of narcotics after Officer Troy McWhorter saw her car travelling south on Route 130 at 3:28 a.m. on March 29. The officer said he detected the odor of burned marijuana after stopping the car and approaching the driver. Police said a bag of prescription narcotics not prescribed to Ms. Fuge was found during the investigation. She was charged and released pending a court appearance. She was also charged with following too closely.

   Police responded to a report of criminal mischief after the owner of a vehicle said that the car’s rear view mirror had been broken after it had been parked in the lot at the Twin Rivers Deli overnight on March 28. Police said glass was found in the parking lot and it appeared the mirror had been smashed with a hard object.
Hightstown
   On March 23 at 6:40 p.m. in the Hightstown Borough Municipal Court, officers arrested Terrel Choice, 21, of Dickinson Lane, East Windsor, and charged him with contempt of court. Mr. Choice was in court for an unrelated matter and was found to have an active warrant for his arrest. The warrant was issued by Plainsboro Municipal Court in the amount of $222. Mr. Choice was released upon posting bail.

   Between March 26 at 2 p.m. and March 28 at 7:30 a.m. someone attempted to enter a business located on Bank Street. The subject(s) attempted to push in air conditioner units to enter into the business, but was unsuccessful.
