Call for gardens
WEST WINDSOR GroWW (Greening of West Windsor) is looking for West Windsor’s green thumbs to take part in its second annual GroWW Garden Tour on Saturday, June 25.
Gardens can be large or small; full of flowers, vegetables or both; use exotic or everyday plants; or showcase environmentally friendly practices.
Gardeners interested in participating should email [email protected] or call 609-716-0654. Those who think their friend or neighbor should take part can nominate the garden. Nominations are due by April 30 so the list can be finalized by mid-May.
Easter egg hunt
WEST WINDSOR The West Windsor Lions Club is holding an Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 16, at 10 a.m. at West Windsor Community Park (Princeton-Hightstown Road – Route 571).
It is free to pre-kindergarten through 3rd graders from the West Windsor-Plainsboro School District.
Prizes will be awarded.
Children should arrive at least 15 minutes before the start and bring a basket or small container for the eggs they collect.
The rain date is Saturday, April 23.
Free rabies clinic
WEST WINDSOR The township is holding a free rabies clinic on Saturday, April 9, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Princeton Junction Fire Company, 245 Clarksville Road.
Dogs and cats must be restrained by either leash or carrier. The clinic is sponsored by the West Windsor Township Health Department. For more information call 609-936-8400.
Bitiya holding walk-a-thon
WEST WINDSOR Bitiya, a non-profit group dedicated to helping underprivileged girls in India and the United States, and Teens for Bitiya, a group of local high school students committed to supporting Bitiya’s mission, will be hosting a fund-raising walk-a-thon on Sunday, May 15, at Mercer County Park (west side picnic area) from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
The walk-a-thon will have a carnival-like atmosphere, with food and craft stalls for the family. All are welcome.

There also is a T-shirt design competition. Email your T-shirt design to [email protected] by April 15. The winning design will be imprinted on the T-shirts that will be sold during the walk-a-thon. The winner will also receive a cash prize of $50.
