Hillsborough’s public library offers lots of activities for young and old.
Here are upcoming programs intended for adults:
Yoga This workshop is cleansing to the body/mind and works on physical, emotional and spiritual levels. It will work together to detoxify major internal organs, flush out toxins, rejuvenate and energize the body in a gentle and mindful way. Monday, April 11, at 7 p.m.
Ladies ESL Ladies only, ages 18 and older. Must know minimal English. Monday, April 11, at 7 p.m.
Poetry reading Charles H. Johnson, a Geraldine Dodge Foundation poet, will read selections of his poetry in the West Wing. Tuesday, April 12, at 7 p.m.
Afternoon movie “Switch,” an unexpected comedy, will be shown Tuesday, April 19, at 1:30 p.m.
Here are programs intended for youngsters. Registration is required for all programs.:
Teen Crafternoon (grades 6-12) Celebrate Earth Day with a craft made with recyclable materials. Saturday, April 9, at 2 p.m.
Afternoon stories (ages 2-6) A fun family storytime. Mondays, April 11 and 11, at 1 p.m.
Reading Buddy (grades 2-4) Your child will increase their love of reading while reading aloud with a Hillsborough High School intern. Monday, April 11, 3:30 p.m.
Toddler Time (ages 2-6) Introduce the pleasure of books to your child. Tuesdays, April 12 and 19, at 10 a.m.
Rhyme Time (newborn to 2½) Join us for nursery rhyme fun. Tuesdays, April 12 and 19, at 10:30 a.m.
Early Reader Book Club (grades K-2) Hang out with your friends as we watch anime, make candy sushi and discuss the latest manga. Tuesday, April 19, at 4 p.m.
Garden fun (grades 2-5) Join the members of the Neshanic Garden Club and create something fun. Wednesday, April 20, at 4 p.m.
Anime Club (grades 8-12) An exciting program for brand-new readers. Thursday, April 21, at 5 p.m.
