PLUMSTED A 28-year-old New Egypt woman remained behind bars Monday in lieu of $75,000 full cash bail after being charged with the sexual assault of two 15-year-old boys.
Leta Ellen Huitron, no street address given, is charged with two counts of sexual assault of a minor and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Ms. Huitron remained incarcerated Monday in the Ocean County Jail where she has been held since her March 25 arrest.
The mother of the two boys involved, who are now 16, reported to police March 22 that her sons “had a sexual relationship” with Ms. Huitron over an unspecified period of time, beginning when they were 15 years old, according to a police statement released March 31.
The crimes took place in Point Pleasant Beach, police said. Police did not disclose where the boys live, how they know Ms. Huitron or the date of the alleged crimes.
Ocean County Superior Court Judge Wendel Daniels ordered Ms. Huitron not to have any contact with the alleged victims if she should be able to make bail.
Patrolman Brant Uriks investigated the case.
