The Cream Ridge Winery in Upper Freehold will host the sixth annual Country Roads 5K for individuals with autism and special needs on April 30.
The timed run will start at the winery and proceed through Historic Walnford before winding through horse country. Prizes will be awarded in various age groups. The event will also feature a 1-mile fun run/walk.
Proceeds will benefit Allies Inc. and Talk About Curing Autism (TACA). Allies Inc. is a nonprofit organization in Hamilton that provides services to individuals with autism and special needs. TACAis a nonprofit organization committed to finding a cure for autism and providing relief and support for families with autistic children.
The 5K run starts at 9 a.m. Register between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. The 1-mile fun run/walk starts at 8:30 a.m. T-shirts will be given to preregistered entrants and to entrants on the day of the race while supplies last.
