HILLSBOROUGH: Auten Road School to host Holocaust program

   From 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Auten Road Intermediate School is hosting two guest speakers in a program about the Holocaust and World War II.
   Hedy Brasch, a Hungarian survivor of the Auschwitz concentration camp, and Harry Ettlinger, an “About Facer,” who escaped from Nazi Germany and then returned to Germany to fight with United States forces, will speak about their experiences.
   ”Mr. Ettlinger, who escaped just prior to Nazi attacks on Jewish communities in 1938 in attacks known as “Kristallnacht.” He worked in Army intelligence with the United States forces and was one of the “Monuments Men,” the group responsible for recovering art treasures stolen by the Nazis.
   The event is part of the annual Holocaust Awareness Month. . observed at the school for the past five years. Each year the school asks two Holocaust survivors, who are different each year, to speak.
All are invited. There is no charge, but donations for an honorarium for the Holocaust Council of MetroWest will be collected.
