Library to show ‘The King’s Speech’ twice
Hillsborough’s public library will show the Oscar-winning film, “The Kings Speech,” twice in a week
This year’s “best movie” tells the story of King George VI as he struggles to overcome his speech stammer disability prior to a radio address to the British nation at the beginning of World War II. It stars Best Actor-winning Colon Firth, Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter.
It will be shown at 7 p.m. Friday, April 29, and 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3.

• Zumba Maynia — Linda Jones will lead Zumba classes at 7 p.m. on four Mondays in May. Wear comfortable clothing and bring water.
• Ladies ESL — Meets Monday, May 2, at 7 p.m.
• Friends Book Group — Meets Tuesday, May 3, at 7:30 p.m.
• Updating your Home — Architect Carmine Cerminara and interior designer Michele Gracia will discuss why you may need an architect or an interior designer to spruce up your home. They’ll answer audience questions. Thursday, May 5, at 7 p.m.

#149; Toddler Time (ages 2-6) — Introduce the pleasure of books to your child. Tuesday, May 3, at 10 a.m.
• Rhyme Time (newborn to 2½) — Join us for nursery rhyme fun. Tuesday, May 3, at 10:30 a.m.
#149; Afternoon Stories (ages 2-6) — A fun family storytime. Monday, May 2, at 1 p.m.
• Story and Craft (ages 2-6) — Listen to a story and create a craft to take home. Wednesday, May 4, at 10 and 11 a.m.
• Teen Advisory Board (grades 6-12) — Help us plan teen programs and tell us what you’d like to see happen at the library. Enjoy tasty treats! Wednesday, May 4, at 7 p.m.
• Singing Babies (newborn to 2) — Start your little one on the road to a lifetime love of music making. Friday, May 6, at 10 a.m.
• Free Comic Book Day & DIY Artist’s Station (grades 6-12). Celebrate National Free Comic Book Day at the library. Saturday, May 7, at 10 a.m.
