LIBRARY HAPPENINGS: Week of April 21

   April is National Poetry Month. Poet John Trause will read in open microphone format on Tuesday, April 26, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Join us and bring your poems.

   April display: Featured this month in the display case is the “Little Pet Shop” collection from sisters Marina and Yekaterina Saburova. It is a beautiful and very colorful display.

   Displays needed: Do you have a hobby or collection that you would like to exhibit in the display case at the entrance to the library? Call Barbara at 908-722-9722.

   Books for sale: The library is selling hard cover books for 50 cents, soft-covers for 25 cents, or by the bag for $2.

   Chess Club: The club meets every Saturday at 10 a.m. All ages are welcome.

   Crochet and Knitting Club: Meets Wednesday, April 27, at 6:15 p.m. in the Community Room. Bring your yarn and needles and join us. All are welcome, whether you are a novice or experienced.

   Hungry Readers Book Club: The club meets the second Monday of each month from noon to 1 p.m. All are welcome. Call Beverly Ball at 908-722-3057.

   Library hours: The library will be closed on April 22 and 23 for observance of Easter. Regular hours will resume on April 25. General hours are: Monday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; Tuesday, noon-8 p.m.; Wednesday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m.; Thursday, noon-8 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
