To the editor:
Raymond Kuehner is a member of the South Brunswick Board of Education Citizens Budget Advisory Committee and has now come forward as a candidate for School Board. The citizens of South Brunswick should regard this as good news.
Mr. Kuehner is a well-known member of the community, as he has been a township resident for many years.
Currently, Mr. Kuehner is employed as Transportation Coordinator & Energy Specialist in a neighboring school district. This dual role requires him to continually interact with administrators, staff, and parents, and gives him a heightened understanding of the budgetary issues and the ongoing need to continually examine economic affairs.
This experience alone gives Mr. Kuehner an uncommon insight and a working knowledge that will prove to be a valuable asset to the board.
Outside of his professional life, serving the community is a life-long commitment for Mr. Kuehner. In the past, he has been a member of the PTA’s of Dayton/Deans School, Crossroads School, and the High School.
He has been involved in innumerable activities, groups, and clubs across the district. Beyond school involvement, he has served with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, and as a coach for the PAL and the Rec. Department.
Clearly, he is driven to not just serve the public but to serve in a manner that will have a positive impact on the lives of his peers and on our children in particular.
We can be confident that he will apply these same values and commitment to his duties as a School Board member, should he be given the opportunity to serve.
Community leaders and the community respect Mr. Kuehner. He has earned a reputation as a highly principled individual with an unwavering work ethic.
These are the qualities of a strong leader and in these challenging times we must demand nothing less. We would be fortunate indeed to have Mr. Kuehner serve as a School Board member.
Please join me in electing Raymond Kuehner on April 27.
