ALLENTOWN: ‘Petz Gone Wild’ event to be held May 1

ALLENTOWN — The Allentown Business Community Association will present its first “Petz Gone Wild” pet event on Sunday, May 1, from noon to 4 p.m. behind 28 S. Main St and in Heritage Park.
There will be agility and obedience training demonstrations by Up Front Farm and luring course demonstrations and practice by Performance Canine Association.
Bring your “well-behaved pet” and check out the many pet vendors, visit with an “animal communicator,” enter free drawings, enjoy great food and listen to the DJ playing all animal-related songs. Even borough restaurants will have “gone to the dogs” with outdoor seating for you and your four-legged friends.
There will be a pet parade (registration at noon) with prizes to be awarded. There will be face painting, caricatures with your pet, professional pet photos, vets, pet groomers, pet sitters, pet food suppliers, pet-related businesses, rescue organizations and members of the Allentown Business Community Association.
The ABCA also will be collecting “non-perishable people food” for The Give Back Foundation. Bring a donation and help stock up the food pantry. You will receive a special entry ticket for one of the drawings when you drop off your donation.
