Solebury Friends will hold its fourth annual Community Day on April 30 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. with a day of family fun, live music, children’s rides, demonstrations and events — including a Children’s Cookie Baking Contest, kite making, food and refreshments.
There will be donations for the Food Pantry of New Hope and Lambertville, as well as drop-off donations of bicycles and sewing machines in good working condition for Pedals-for-Progress, P4P ($10 donation recommended).
P4P is a nonprofit organization that refurbishes bicycles and sewing machines for communities in developing countries, as well as train the community on their repair and maintenance so they can be self-sustaining.
The day will feature the live entertainment of “Faith & Practice” and “Spring Muse” from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Solebury Friends Meeting, 2680 Sugan Road, New Hope.
Admission is free and any donations will go to the Delaware Valley Interfaith Council in support of the local Food Pantry of New Hope and Solebury.
There will be children’s rides and demonstrations by the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts.
Cans of food, to be donated to the Food Pantry will be accepted for admission to the rides.
