Home-repair help available to residents

ABERDEEN — Qualified property owners living in Aberdeen may be eligible for home-repair assistance through the Aberdeen Township Housing Rehabilitation Program.

The repairs will be funded by the municipality to meet its obligation to the Mount Laurel Indigenous Need Housing Rehabilitation Program. Funding is available for up to 28 homeowners whose household incomes fall within the program’s limits. Gross income limits range from $49,789 for a household with one person to a maximum of $93,887 for a household with eight family members.

To qualify, homeowners must also be up to date with mortgage payments and water/sewer and property taxes.

Homeowners wishing to apply for the program can come to the Aberdeen Township municipal building or visit the township website: aberdeennj.org to obtain additional information and a coupon that should be returned to the Monmouth County Housing Improvement Program.
