A Trenton resident reported the theft of his Garmin navigation system and citizens band radio, worth a combined $250, from his work truck while it was parked at Hub Leasing Inc. on Brunswick Pike between 5 p.m. April 15 and 5:30 a.m. April 18, police said. There were no signs of forced entry.
Mark A. Peters, 51, of Lamoyne, Pennsylvania, was charged with shoplifting at 5:31 p.m. April 19 at J.C. Penney at the Quaker Bridge Mall after a store loss prevention officer saw him conceal a bottle of shampoo inside the waistband of his pants and various tools underneath his jacket, valued at a combined $70.53, police said. He was released on a summons.
A 17-year-old Trenton boy was charged with shoplifting at 5:21 p.m. April 20 at J.C. Penney at the Quaker Bridge Mall after a store loss prevention officer saw him pick out a pair of sunglasses, valued at $30, and drop the price tag on the floor and walk off with them in his hand, police said. He was released to his mother’s custody.
Anthony Morris, 37, of South Olden Avenue in Trenton, was charged with shoplifting at 12:54 p.m. April 19 at the CVS drug store on Brunswick Pike after the store manager saw him pick up some bottles of Centrum vitamin pills and conceal them, police said. She confronted him and he ran out of the store and down Valley Forge Avenue, where she lost sight of him. A few minutes later, a police officer noticed a man walking on Brunswick Pike who matched the description of the shoplifting, police said.Police found seven packages of Centrum Silver vitamins, valued at a combined $66.43, inside his backpack. He was taken to the Mercer County Corrections Center after police discovered he had several outstanding warrants.
Someone stole a 1990 Dodge truck while it was parked on Drift Avenue, between 5 p.m. April 18 and 7:30 a.m. April 19, police said. The truck, which was valued at $8,000, was recovered by Trenton police on April 21 on Parkside Avenue in Trenton.
Two trucks parked at Hibbert Automotive on Spruce Street were vandalized between 7:15 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. April 18, police said. The vandal smashed the driver’s window on a 1997 Ford truck and rummaged through the interior. The driver’s vent window on the 1993 Ford truck was smashed and the windshield was cracked. Nothing was reported missing from either truck, each of which belonged to a Trenton resident, police said.
Michael J. Mancuso, 54, of Allegheny Avenue in Lawrence, was charged with driving under the influence at 8:48 p.m. April 20 after he pulled out of the driveway of a Franklin Corner Road business and failed to yield to a police car that was traveling on Franklin Corner Road, according to reports. He was released to his sister’s custody.
