SOUTH BRUNSWICK – Money stolen from cars in Kingston

During the past weekend, 12 Kingston residents on Brook Drive East and Fairfield Road had money stolen from their cars by an unknown person or persons, police said.
Police said the victims reported that change and money were the only items stolen from their vehicles sometime between Saturday night and Easter Sunday morning.
Sgt. James Ryan said that the vehicles entered were broken into while they were parked by the victim’s homes and that the suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money.
Most of the cars were unlocked and there are no suspects yet in the case, Sgt. Ryan said.
Sgt. Ryan said this is the first reported incident of this type for the neighborhood in the Village of Kingston.
Sgt. Ryan said that all residents should lock their car doors at night and that they should put all valuables out of sight.
