   Police are investigating a theft that occurred between Jan. 11 and March 29. A resident of Windrows Drive reported an unknown person removed two gold rings, valued at $1,950, from her residence. There was no forced entry.
   Police are investigating an incident of identity theft. A resident of Parker Road reported that between April 25 and April 27, an unknown person used his credit card to make three fraudulent purchases, valued at about $4,500.
   Zachary E. Mudge, 31, of Plainsboro, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. At 12:48 a.m. on Sunday, police stopped Mr. Mudge on Dey Road. Investigation found that Mr. Mudge’s driver license was suspended and that he was in possession of a controlled dangerous substance and paraphernalia. He was arrested and later released, pending court.
   Police are investigating an incident of identity theft. On Friday, police responded to a report from a resident of Wyndhurst Drive, who said his identity was used by an unknown person sometime between May 1991 and June 1997 to obtain a New York drivers license.
   Police are investigating a theft that occurred between 11 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday. A resident of Hunters Glen Drive reported that a blue and orange mountain bike, valued at $50, was stolen outside the residence. The case has been turned over to the Detective Bureau.
   James Marzarella, 71, of Cranbury, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, failure to signal his turn, driving an uninsured vehicle, and having an obstructed license plate. At 11:07 p.m. on Friday, police stopped Mr. Marzarella at Centers Drive. Police said the driver was visibly intoxicated and smelled of alcohol. Upon further investigation, he was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested and later released, pending court.
   Montgomery
   A total of seven vehicles were reported to have been burglarized during the overnight hours of April 24 and April 25. Five of the cars were unlocked and parked on Coppervail Court in Skillman. Another unlocked vehicle was parked on Durham Road in Skillman. Only loose change was taken from the six cars. The seventh car was parked and locked outside a residence on Wellington Court in Belle Mead. A side window was smashed by a rock but nothing was taken from inside.
   Gary Gerstl, 47, of Hillsborough, was charged with shoplifting from Shop Rite. At 2:01 a.m., Mr. Gerstl, a Shop Rite employee, was observed leaving the store by a loss prevention officer with about $10 worth of items. He was arrested and later released, pending court.
