Kim Korth, Bordentown City
Yesterday I learned that Mike Hunninghake is not being reappointed to the Bordentown City Environmental Commission. The news surprised and saddened me what a loss to Bordentown.
For whatever reason we are losing an effective, intelligent, dedicated and passionate person working to making the city a great place to live.
Mike was willing to continue to serve but the commissioners elected not to reappoint him. Why? Mike’s energy and professionalism will be hard to replace and I do not envy the person to fill Mike’s very large shoes.
To Mike thank you for all that you have done to make the city a place I am happy to call home and raise my family.
I cannot list all your accomplishments but will highlight those most important to me: your efforts to get the city involved with several state “green” initiatives, your stewardship of the team of citizen volunteers keeps us engaged, the green space you have helped preserve in our small city is a huge asset to our lives and most of all, your smiling face at every city fair I attended made me feel part of the community.
I’ll miss you!
