Anthony Caparoso, principal of Woodfern Elementary School, has resigned and will leave the district’s employ on June 30.
Mr. Caparoso, who has been at Woodfern since July 15, 2008, joins other staffers who’ll leave by the end of the school year.
Carol Butler, a language arts supervisor in the district since Sept. 1, 1973, will retire June 1.
Sunnymeade School will also see a trio leave; the three are lunch aide Marygrace Verhoorn, art teacher Olga Zacharko and second grade teacher Diane Upshaw.
Ms. Verhoorn has been with the school since Oct. 8, 1979 and actually retired on April 1, while Ms. Zacharko and Ms. Upshaw will retire effective July 1. Ms. Zacharko’s first day in the district was Sept. 1, 1975; Ms. Upshaw’s was Nov. 9, 1978.
Triangle School will lose education media specialist Kathleen Bush, an employee since Sept. 1, 2000, and Ursula Naklicki, a school nurse since Sept. 1, 1988.
Karen Coviello, vice principal at Auten Road Intermediate School since Sept. 1, 1986, and William Spears, a chemistry teacher at the high school since Sept. 1, 1977, will leave on June 1 and July 1, respectively.
Also retiring as of July 1 are Christine Benton, a social studies teacher at the Middle School since Sept. 1, 1988; Josephine Casey, a 10-month secretary at the high school since Sept. 1, 2000, and Patricia Rodker, a four-hour-per-day clerical assistant at Sunnymead School since May 7, 1990.
