WALK4PINK will take place June 5th at the Jewish Community Center in Middlesex County
By Sarah Doheny
What began so simply by Janna Zuckerman whom at the age of 12 started the Edison, N.J. walk out of grief for a loved member of the community. Janna knew she needed to do something and wished to celebrate the life of Michelle Offsie who was a much loved community member .
Her willingness became evident when she devoted a Bat Mitzvah project, this was her way of bringing awareness to women in her community to support, research, receive mammograms and engage the youth of her town in philanthropy.
Her commitment has never waned throughout high school and during her summer vacations, her commitment since the first walk, where a few hundred members of the community came out in support of her mission. and today as a Senior at Towson University she continues fundraising as the founding member of a thriving breast cancer group known affectionately as Towson Goes Pink.
Today we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Michelle Offsie Memorial Walk .
