MONTGOMERY: Ross, Bradley elected as education board officers

MONTGOMERY — At its organizing meeting on Tuesday, May 3, the Montgomery Township Board of Education elected its officers.
Dr. Christine Ross was elected president and Andrea Bradley elected vice president.
The former president and vice president, David Pettit and Charlie Jacey, decided not to run for the board this year.
Last Wednesday, the community elected Annie Michaelson, Christine Abrahams and incumbent Arun Rimal to the board.
   The district’s $77.7 million budget passed, 1,346-911.
”I’m thrilled to see that voters across the county, not just in Montgomery, demonstrated their support for education,” said Superintendent Earl Kim upon hearing the budget had passed. “We pride ourselves as being a community that values education, and the 20 percentage point margin of victory is a testament to that belief.”
