PRINCETON: Ed board elects officers

At its organizing meeting on Tuesday, May 3, the Board of Education for Princeton Regional Schools re-elected its current officers by unanimous vote.
Rebecca Cox will serve as president and Timothy Quinn will serve as vice president.
”Their leadership has been strong and clear,” said Superintendent Judy Wilson. “We are fortunate to have them guiding this very talented board.”
Last Wednesday’s election saw the district’s budget, which set the local tax levy at $62,190,302, pass in the township, 916-235. In the borough, it passed 308-115, bringing the total 1,224-350.
”We are delighted for our students and grateful to our community,” said Ms. Wilson upon hearing the results. “While this is a very conservative budget, it will provide stability and resources for us to continue to serve our children well in the next academic year.”
The three open seats will be filled by Daniel Haughton, Timothy Quinn and Afsheen Shamsi.
