Police said that there were at least 12 vehicles broken into by an unknown suspects between Monday night and Tuesday morning.
The vehicles were reportedly all unlocked and parked in the street or in the driveway on Liberty Drive, Weatherhill Way, Renk Farm Drive, and Deerfield Trail, according to police.
Police said the suspect allegedly went into the vehicles and ransacked them.
Some of the victims reported that there was nothing missing, others reported missing change, and some reported items such as laptops and GPS units missing, police said.
Sgt. Ryan said some of the items taken were clearly visible in the car.
The total amount of money taken is believed to be a couple hundred dollars, Sgt. James Ryan said.
Sgt. Ryan said the police department believes the incidents are related to similar ones that took place in Kingston on April 23 and 24, when suspects entered 12 cars on Brook Drive East and Fairfield Road.
Police said that change and money was missing from those cars, and that some of those cars were also unlocked.
Sgt. Ryan said that residents should keep their cars locked, and valuables hidden.Police said they would like anyone with information on the incidents to call township police at 732-329-4646.
