Let the recent South Brunswick Board of Education election be a lesson to future candidates. Don’t cross the South Brunswick Education Association (SBEA).
Board of Education President Matthew Speesler (15 years on the board) had the temerity to question the SBEA and say they were thinking more of themselves than the students in rejecting a wage freeze in the current contract. He was summarily voted out of office by a block vote of SBEA members.
It is clear that the taxpayers of South Brunswick are letting the chickens rule the roost.
Why cant we stand up to the “bully” public unions who get to vote on the people who set their salaries and benefits.
Shame on the SBEA, Shame on the timid citizens of South Brunswick for not standing up to the self-serving, greedy SBEA.
