The Urology Group of Princeton is joining the Princeton Forrestal Village as the first medical office tenant under the village’s new ownership.
The Forrestal Village’s owners, Lincoln Equities Group and Investacorp International, announced that they had successfully completed the transaction for a long-term lease with the Urology Group for a 5,175-square-foot space.
Upon taking over in February, the owners had expressed interest in attracting medical offices to complement the relocation of the University Medical Center of Princeton to Plainsboro, slated to open early next year.
The Urology Group was formerly located on Witherspoon Street, adjacent to the current University Medical Center in Princeton. Saying it is one of the state’s oldest urology practices, the group has a staff of five physicians and provides a full rage of diagnostic and therapeutic services.
”As Princeton Forrestal Village continues to grow amid the economic recovery, specifically within the Princeton sub-market, we welcome the Urology Group of Princeton, one of New Jersey’s oldest urology groups, to the community,” said Daniel Ackerman, senior director of leasing. “In an effort to continue to provide the best and most comprehensive urologic care to the Princeton community, a seamless transition was important to the Urology Group of Princeton.”
Joel Bergstein, president of Lincoln Equities, said he looks forward to attracting new tenants with similar needs in the future.
”The completion of this transaction substantiates that with the relocation of the 630,000-square-foot University Medical Center of Princeton to Plainsboro, businesses have expressed the desire to be in close proximity to this new, world-class hospital,” he said.
Lincoln Equities could not confirm by press time when the Urology Group would relocate to the Forrestal Village.
Princeton Forrestal Village is a 42-acre mixed-use campus that consists of 10 freestanding office, retail and restaurant buildings. Originally built in 1987, the village underwent capital improvements in 2007.
The Westin Hotel and Conference Center is also located there.
