PRINCETON: Foundation appoints first director

The board of trustees of the Princeton Education Foundation has appointed Adrienne Rubin as its first executive director.
Board President Shari Powell said, “We are excited to have Adrienne Rubin leading us at this pivotal stage of growth and development.”
Ms. Rubin said, “As a Princeton resident and a Community Park School parent, I have a deep, personal appreciation for the value PEF brings to our community. I know many children who have been direct beneficiaries of PEF’s support for school programs. I am excited and inspired by the increasing role PEF will play in maintaining the excellence we have come to expect from the Princeton public schools. “
Ms. Rubin previously served as executive director of VolunteerConnect, where she helped Central New Jersey volunteers find meaningful opportunities, provided volunteer management training to nonprofits, and helped businesses maximize their employee engagement efforts.
She is a graduate of Princeton University. She has served as the cantorial soloist at Temple Micah in Lawrenceville for more than 15 years. She is a board member of Women In Development of Mercer County and is active with the Community Park Elementary School PTO and Cub Scout Pack 43. She and her husband, Douglas Rubin, reside in Princeton Township with their son, Elian.
The mission of the Princeton Education Foundation is to support excellence in education in the Princeton Regional Schools. For information, visit www.pefnj.org or Ms. Rubin at [email protected]
