Cranbury kid in US Physics Olympiad Team

Cranbury resident and Princeton High School Junior, Sadik Shahidain, made the 2011 US Physics Olympiad Team this year. He along with nineteen other kids throughout the country were selected by the American Association of Physics Teachers to participate in a training camp to be held at University of Maryland this summer.

Five kids from this team will represent the USA in the International Physics Olympiad to be held in Bangkok,Thailand later this summer.
Sadik also made the USA Junior Math Olympiad team last year. Sadik will be attending the NJ Governor’s school in July.
Sadik moved to Cranbury in 2008 and started at PHS. He also plays competitive soccer with Celtics in Princeton Football Club. Sadik loves to compete in Chess and recently played in the Philadelphia Open Chess tournament.
Aside from taking five AP courses this year which includes Physics, French, English, Statistics, and US History, he also takes Math courses at Princeton University. He finished both Number Theory and Mathematical Analysis courses at the PU.
Besides all these, he is an avid fun of all kinds of sports and spends a lot of time playing video games.
